The Examen Prayer

The Examen was developed over five hundred years ago by St. Ignatius of Loyola, is a beautiful way to look over your day with the Divine. Feel free to journal, draw, or pray silently, however it comes most naturally to you. The Divine hears us in any form of expression.

Lectio Divina:  Praying with Scriptures

Lectio Divina is a way to pray with the scripture passages. The focus is reflecting on what the Holy Spirit is saying to you in regards to a particular passage.  There are four basic steps.

We do not obtain the most precious gifts by going in search of them but by waiting for them... This way of looking is first of all attentive. The soul empties itself of all its own contents in order to receive into itself the being it is looking at, just as he is, in all his truth. Above all, it means not to be in a hurry to conclude.
