My Journey
I have always been a seeker, hence the title for my webpage, Spiritual Seeking. From my early adolescent years when I had experience with God on a retreat to my decision to pursue a degree in theology, I wanted to seek the divine with my heart and soul. Spiritual Direction helped be my compass thru the guidance of the Spirit to accept the challenges, deal with the darkness and show the path forward. Being retired,I feel called to journey with others in spiritual companionship. I can assist others to listen for the divine in their bodies, in their life decisions, and with their whole heart.
Will you trust me to seek with you? I enjoy journeying with others on their path to discovery of the divine. I love the image of the compass because it was used for centuries to guide sojourners along their way. I can be your compass with the Spirit to direct your path towards greater freedom, transformation and deeper connection. Where is God leading you? Which way should you go? Susan Rizo is a certified Spiritual Director offering companionship to those who wish to deepen their connection with the Divine. Drawing on more than 30 years of ministry experience, she has walked alongside individuals and groups through seasons of questioning, discernment, and renewal. Susan believes spiritual direction is a sacred conversation—one that opens space for listening, reflection, and discovering the movement of Spirit in everyday life.
Specialized Training
Grounded in BioSpiritual Focusing, the Ennegram, and Ignatian spirituality.
Her training includes BioSpiritual Focusing, the Enneagram, and Ignatian Spirituality, all of which enrich her contemplative approach. Susan meets people wherever they are on the journey—whether wrestling with doubt, seeking clarity in times of change, or simply desiring a deeper awareness of God’s presence. She offers both in-person sessions in the Lake Chapala area and online appointments for those farther away.

First two sessions complimentary, with flexible fees for all.
Susan’s practice is rooted in generosity and accessibility. The first session is a 30 minute meeting to get to know one another. The second meeting is a complimentary session with Spiritual Direction giving space to explore whether the relationship feels right.
Fees are flexible and based on individual circumstances, with the conviction that finances should never be a barrier to spiritual growth. With warmth, openness, and gentle guidance, we can discuss financial arrangements at our first meeting.
